On July 24th, 2017, Vo Van Minh passed away. He was 84 years old.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Tran Ben and his six children: Kim, Mark, Kevin, Chris, Hien and Mallory, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Diep, and his grandson, Nhanh.
Born and raised in Viet Nam, Vo Van Minh immigrated to the United States in 1987. He was known for his fierce independence, his work ethic, and a seemingly unsinkable drive to not just survive in the face of many obstacles, but to excel.
Though he worked hard, he embraced the things that brought him joy. Simple things. Things like reading newspapers and learning to cook American cuisine. The outdoors brought him joy. He grew fresh vegetables and fruits in his backyard and proudly incorporated them into his home cooked Vietnamese meals.
In other words, he was a man of many layers. A man who lived a full life.
On July 28th, 2017, friends and family will be gathering at JF Ward Funeral Home to celebrate his life.
