Of Defuniak Springs, Florida, formerly of Everett and Ipswich, Massachusetts passed away on April 6, 2017 at 91 years.

Tom was born in Malden, Massachusetts on February 17, 1926 the son of Thomas J. Walsh, Sr. and Helen Mary (Horgan) Walsh of Everett, Massachusetts. At a very young age, Tom began working at his father's woodworking business (T.J. Walsh & Son) in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
Tom's work at the family business took a hiatus in 1943, when Tom was called to serve his country in the Army during World War II. He served under General Patton during the Battle of the Bulge. Tom was dedicated to his faith and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
When Tom returned from the War he married the love of his life, Lorraine Frances Falvey, on October 25, 1947, and settled in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Tom and Lorraine were blessed with eight children. Following Lorraine's death in 2011, Tom married a long-time family friend, Irene Frontiera. Tom and Irene enjoyed five wonderful years together with love, laughter, and companionship.

Tom is survived by his wife, Irene, his son, Thomas J. Walsh, III and his wife, Melissa, of Ipswich, Massachusetts and their son, Seth, his daughter, Donna M. Turbity and her husband, Brian, of South Hampton, New Hampshire and their children, Shannon, Hudson, Dvina and Nile, his daughter, Mary H. Mazzeo, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and her son, Daniel, his daughter, Lorraine F. Hanson and her husband, Jon, of Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, and their daughter, Jenna, his daughter, Kathleen A. Wood and her husband, Gary, of Kensington, New Hampshire and their children, Gary, Jr., Emily and Patrick, his daughter, Joanne M. Carley and her husband Mark, of Freeport, Florida, and their children, Allison and Jarrod, his daughter, Maureen E. Parent and her husband, John, of Williamsburg, Virginia, his daughter-in-law, Karen Walsh, of Exeter, New Hampshire, and her son, Christopher, Irene's son Joseph A. Frontiera of Defuniak Springs, Florida, and daughter, Corrine and her husband, Matthew Standley of Defuniak Springs, Florida and his wonderful great-children, nieces and nephews.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Thomas J. Walsh, Sr. and Helen Mary (Horgan) Walsh, his wife, Lorraine F. (Falvey) Walsh, his beloved son, Timothy M. Walsh, his sisters, Sister Mary Joan Walsh and Sister Helen Mary Walsh, and his granddaughter, Alycia M. Mazzeo.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, Massachusetts on Saturday, June 10th, from 10-11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, Massachusetts at 12:00 PM. Service will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorials be made in Tom's name to the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
