Obituary

Scott D. Anderson, 62, of Hudson, New Hampshire, formerly of Everett, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly, on March 23, 2024. Scott was the husband of Diana M. (De Campo) Anderson, with whom he shared 34 years in marriage.

Born in Chelsea, MA and raised in Everett, MA Scott was the son of Francis Anderson of Ipswich, Massachusetts the late Leah Anderson. He was the older brother of Keith Anderson of Ipswich, Massachusetts, and the late Laura (Anderson) Wingard of Curwensville, Pennsylvania. He was also the former brother-in-law of Jennifer Allport-McCarthy and the uncle of both Elsa Anderson and Corinne Anderson, all of Ipswich, Massachusetts. He was also the former brother-in-law of Brian Wingard of Curwensville, Pennsylvania. He leaves behind a host of beloved cousins.

Scott graduated from Everett High School and Essex Agricultural & Technical School. He worked in the landscaping/horticultural field and retired from Philips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts after more than 20 years. There was not a tree or plant native to New England that he didn't know about!

After many years of living in Everett, Massachusetts, Scott & Diana relocated to Hudson, NH.

Scott was a WGI Volunteer for 27 years and was the 2011 WGI Volunteer of the Year. He was involved with trying to revive the Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corp from Lowell, MA and then helped form the East Coast Jr. Jazz from Malden, MA. He was part of the design team for Visionary Winter Guard from Randoph, MA and helped with The Crimson Brigade from Avon, MA.

Scott was a member of the Benson Park Committee in Hudson, NH and volunteered with Wreaths Across America (Hudson, NH Location NHCCKH). Scott was an avid sports fan, candlepin bowler, and loved to golf a round with his brother-in-law whenever he could. He was a great uncle and always brought joy and laughter.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott's memory may be made to Winter Guard International (www.wgi.org) or to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or to the (Friends of) Benson Park, Hudson, NH (www.friendsofbensonpark.org).
