WHALEN, Richard J.-of Everett, passed away at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on October 6, 2017, at 76 years. Born in Cambridge, he was the loving son of the late Francis and Lillian Whalen. Beloved husband of Paula (Kalenoski) Whalen. Loving father of Tracy Salvato. Loving brother of Francis, Robert, and John Whalen. Cherished grandfather of Justin and Katie Salvato. Cherished great grandfather of Nevaeh. Loving brother in law of Dianne DiRusso and Edward Kalenoski. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Richard was a supervisor and employee at General Microfilm in Cambridge for nearly 30 years prior to his retirement. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Wednesday, Oct 11th, at 1 PM. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
