Rene "Joseph" Lejentus of Malden passed away on May 26, 2018 at the age of 61. He was born in Leogane, Haiti and emigrated to the United Stated in 1989. Several years later, his young family joined him in the United States, and they settled in Malden. Rene was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved spending time with family and friends watching sports, listening to music and playing dominos. He also was a hard worker, a great provider and a very generous person. He was a great man.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Marie Rose Lejentus of Malden; his three sons, Rubens, Jeff and Jeffrey Lejentus; daughter-in-law, Doracruz Lejentus and grandson, Julian lejentus. Rene was the youngest of seven children of Delmont Lejentus and Soiniese Jean of Leogane, both deceased. His siblings include Anise Legentus of Malden; the late Anette Lejentus of Haiti; Odette Rene of Malden; the late Ilmond Lejentus of Haiti; Jean Lejentus of Haiti and Marie D. Louis of Medford.  In addition, he is survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many close relatives and friends. He will always be in our hearts.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service at Eglise Evangelique Haitienne de Somerville, 30 Temple Street Somerville, MA 02145 on Saturday, June 2 at 10AM. Viewing will be held on Saturday (same day) from 8:30-9:30am
