Paul Louis Rénald, of Massachusetts, formerly of Port-à-Piment, Haiti, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 80.

He was born on April 19, 1946, to the late Antoine Rénald and Clairsilla Guerrier. Paul was a man of family, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving behind a vast and loving legacy of many children and grandchildren who will continue to cherish his memory.

Paul was one of seven children and the last surviving sibling of his family. From a young age, he dedicated himself to serving in the Haitian Army. Throughout his distinguished years of service, he rose through the ranks into senior leadership, proudly serving his homeland until his retirement in the mid-1990s.

In 1995, Paul relocated from Haiti and eventually settled in Massachusetts, which became his home for the remainder of his life. Though he embraced his new community, he remained deeply connected to his Haitian roots, always finding joy in the culture, language, music, food, and traditions of his homeland.

Known for his warm personality, fierce independence, and sharp sense of humor, Paul was a natural storyteller. His life was defined by service, family, perseverance, and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his stories, traditions, and love will live on through the generations he leaves behind. May his memory forever be a blessing.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Saturday, August 29th, from 9 am to 11 am, followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 11 am.
