Patricia M.
Byrne
Jul 27, 1948 — Apr 15, 2025
Patricia M. Byrne of Brockton passed away on April 15, 2025, at Winchester Hospital. She was 76 years old.
Patricia was born in Everett and spent a considerable portion of her life there. She also resided in Pentwater, MI, and Saugus, MA. Patricia graduated from Everett High School in 1966, where she met her future husband, John.
She commenced her career at Prudential Financial in Boston. Demonstrating her versatility, Patricia transitioned into the legal field, initially serving as a legal secretary at the District Attorney's office in Boston before moving to the private sector under her supervisor's guidance. Unfortunately, she retired due to a disability related to Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Patricia spent significant time with family and friends, considering it important for a fulfilling life. She participated in holidays and family gatherings, often hosting or assisting as needed. She handled requests of varying sizes efficiently. Patricia enjoyed cruises with her husband John, trips to York Beach, and weekends in New Hampshire. She engaged in reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, and playing board games. After the death of her son Craig in 2000 and her husband John in 2001, Patricia supported others and focused on her son Keith. Despite living with COPD, she remained interested in the activities of those around her and contributed when possible.
Patricia was the daughter of the late George and Jeanne Perry of Everett. She was also the beloved wife of the late John J. Byrne of Everett. Patricia was a devoted mother to Keith M. Byrne, his partner Alyson Abruzzese, and her daughter Olivia Abruzzese of Reading, as well as the late Craig M. Byrne of Saugus. Her loving siblings include Kathy Brown of Ludington, MI, Jeanne St. Clair and her late husband Robert St. Clair of Melrose, Gail Rago and her late husband Alphonse (Al) Rago, and George M. Perry and his wife Paula Perry. Additionally, she is survived by her brother-in-law James J. Byrne and his wife Nancy Byrne of Burlington. Patricia leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Christopher, Kristen, Kendra, Jimmy, Robert, Kelly, Devin, Traci, Susan, and Scott.
