Jones, Oscar Dewey died peacefully at Everett Nursing and Rehabilitation on January 12, 2020. He was born January 7, 1938, the son of the late Oscar D. and Shirley (Barnes) Jones. He was a devoted husband to his late wife Ruth (Janson) Jones. Oscar is survived by his sister Carol Jones of Charlestown, Lillian Juzwiski and her husband Theodore of Melrose and the late Mary Ellen Jones and Shirley Jones. He had a wonderful friend in his roommate Stanley Fishtine and his cousin Abigail Russell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett on Wednesday, January 15 ^th at 12 noon. The family will receive visitor from 11-12pm on Wednesday (same day). Oscar was a former longtime employee at the Copley Plaza Hotel. He loved Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to his music. He was also a Red Sox fan. He liked to watch the games and review the statisics in the Boston Herald. He loved to walk around Everett, even up the hill to the Whidden hospital to visit his wife Ruth.
