It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Olivia Josaphat, who left this world peacefully on December 1, 2024, at the age of 78. She was a woman of unwavering faith, whose life was devoted to the service of God, family, and friends.
Olivia was born with a spirit that was grounded in love and compassion. Her devotion to God and her faith were the cornerstones of her life. She found strength, peace, and purpose in her relationship with the Lord, and her faith guided her through every challenge. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, radiating kindness, grace, and a deep sense of spiritual conviction. Olivia believed in the power of prayer and shared her unwavering faith with those around her, always offering comfort and support to those in need.
She is survived by her brother Baltazar, her sister Solange, and her five children: Judithe, Neslie, Ketty, Prenide, and William. Her legacy of love and wisdom will continue to live on through her eight cherished grandchildren: Jason, Aurelie, David, Elodie, François-Eric, Marc-Aurèle, Frederick, and Zachary, as well as her great-grandson Adem. Olivia also leaves behind four sons-in-law, a sister-in-law, and more than twenty nieces, nephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews, all of whom will continue to carry her love and memory forward.
Olivia's nurturing spirit and selfless nature will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was not only a mother and grandmother but also a friend and confidante to many. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come.
Wake:
The viewing will be held at the J. F. Ward Funeral Home, located at 772 Broadway, Everett, MA, on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Church Service:
A funeral service will be held in her honor on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Missionary Church of the Haitian Community, located at 100 Temple Street, Somerville, MA. The service will celebrate her life and remember her unwavering love for God. The service will conclude with interment at Woodland Cemetery in Everett.
Reception:
Following the service, a repast will be held at the church hall from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, where food and drinks will be served as we gather in fellowship to honor Olivia's memory.
