Michael J. Martell, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 29th in Malden, MA. He was the son of the late Dorothy MacDonald and brother of Betty Ann Martell and Cheryl Martell, along with her son Craig Martell.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rita Martell, and their children: daughter Dawn Munro and her husband Andrew Munro, son Michael Martell and his wife Ida Martell, and daughter Maureen Martell and her husband Fadi Saffouri. His granddaughter, Tori Munro, held a special place in his heart.

During the Vietnam War, Michael served in the United States Air Force. Afterward, he worked as a stock clerk at both American Airlines and previously Eastern Airlines. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and he always made sure to be the best dad he could be. His sense of humor and quick wit made him the life of any gathering, and he loved sharing jokes with friends and family.

Michael enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones, watching Western movies, and you could always count on him for the right answers on Jeopardy or for crossword puzzles. Scratch tickets were another favorite pastime, adding a touch of excitement to his days.

Michael Martell will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by those fortunate enough to have been part of his life. May he rest in peace.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Wednesday, July 3rd, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 1:30 pm. Services will conclude with internment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
