Michael J. Bodnaruk, a beloved brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather, passed away suddenly on August 17th, 2024. Born in Chelsea, MA, and raised in Everett, MA, he was the son of the late John and Anne Bodnaruk, brother to the late John Bodnaruk, Christine Cavallaro of Delray Beach, FL, and Jean Wozniak of Terryville, CT. He will be remembered for his love of family, and friendly, personable nature.
'Mickey' is survived by his wife Patricia (Maliawco) Bodnaruk, their children, Michael A. Bodnaruk and his wife, Kristen, of Andover, MA, and Melisa Bodnaruk of Bradford, NH, nieces, Michelle, Dawn, Debbie and Anne Marie, sister-in-law, Janet, "Papa" to Christopher and Abby, cherished bond with Harley, Freddy, and Brady, and many cousins and neighbors who will miss him dearly.
He retired as a civilian welder in the US Coast Guard with over thirty years of service. In his youth, Mickey gained recognition as an excellent athlete playing basketball. Over the years he built an undying passion for fishing, gardening, and cooking, sharing stories, knowledge and produce with everyone he met. He was most proud of being the biggest fan to his grandkids many endeavors.
Mickey will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by those fortunate enough to have been part of his life. May he rest in peace.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Friday, August 23rd, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, at 11 am. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to The American Diabetes Association @ www.diabetes.org or to the charity of one's choice.
