Maria Carlina Acevedo Vanegas, 88, of Chelsea, wife of the late Fabio de Jesus Gallego, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill. Born in Andes, Colombia she was the daughter of the late Gregorio Acevedo Castellon and the late Maria Gapita (Vanegas) Acevedo.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a childcare provider and homemaker.  She enjoyed dancing and traveling to her native country, Colombia.  As of late, she enjoyed going out with her children to the beach, enjoyed family events with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved eating exquisite meals at various restaurants.

Aleida Gallego of Revere, Betty Gallego of Chelsea, Hector Gallego of East Boston, Angela

Patricia Wells of Chelsea, Luz Adriana Gallego; her 14 grandchildren, Diego Escobar, Sandra

Escobar, Jonathan Gallego, Paula Henao, Fabio Henao, Lina Velez, Luisa Velez, Juan Velez,

Carolina Montoya, Catalina Montoya, Juan David Gallego, Angela Jones, John Wells, Daniel

Lucce and 14 great-grandchildren, Andres Escobar, Alejandro Escobar, Ariana Escobar, Veronica

Guzman, Tiffany Guzman, Tatianna Guzman, Ariana Velez, Sebastian Farro, Valentina Ramos, Marcela Cristina Stack, Isabella Marie Stack, Jude Jones, Meleah Jones, Josephine Jones.  She was also the mother of the late Fabio Alberto Gallego, Jesus Alonzo Gallego and Marta Cecilia de Henao.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to celebrate visiting hours from 3 to 8 pm with a funeral services on  Friday, June 24th, at the J.F. Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett.
