Lois M. (McAvoy) O'Connell -A longtime Everett resident, passed away on May 14 ^th , 2023 at 84 years. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late Edward J. O'Connell, Jr. Loving mother of James O'Connell and his wife Marjorie of Middleton, and the late Kevin and John O'Connell. Cherished grandmother of Eric, Austin, and Kaitlyn. During retirement, Lois and her husband Edward enjoyed a snowbird's life, escaping many New England winters to the warmth of Florida. A dual parishioner of Our Lady of Grace and The Immaculate Conception churches, she will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett on Friday, May 19 ^th , at 10 am, followed by a funeral in the funeral home at 11 am. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In Lois' name, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association @ www.act.alz.org
