Lee A. Creel

The family of Lee A. Creel of Rehoboth are profoundly saddened to announce his sudden passing at his home on August 28th, 2026, of natural causes. He was 57.

Lee was the son of the late James N. Creel, Jr. and the late Jane D. Creel of Rehoboth. Lee graduated from Dighton-Rehoboth High Vocational School in 1986. During his school years, he worked farms in Rehoboth, a job he was quite proud of that instilled hard a work ethic at an early age. Lee was a proponent of the trades long before it became fashionable. He was a master mechanic who could fix anything. During his long career, he was a longtime RV service technician for a well-known camper dealership. Unfortunately, a back injury forced him into retirement.

Lee enjoyed fishing, tinkering with anything mechanical, restoration, especially antique cars and trucks, clam boils, cooking at home, rock music, and mostly enjoyed spending time with his only son and a cold beverage with the company of his siblings. Lee was a fierce and loyal friend to those he entrusted. He had a kind and loving heart, who on many occasions, would help out total strangers in their time of need.

Lee was immensely proud of his son James Lee Creel, who has enlisted in the US Marine Corps and will heading to Parris Island after his senior year.

Besides his son, Lee leaves behind his siblings James N. Creel III and Todd N. Creel of Rehoboth, Kevin S. Creel of Lynn, and Cynthia L. Creel of Warren. He is also survived by his dear nieces and nephew. Although his family is devastated by his sudden passing, they take solace in knowing he's been reunited with his loving parents along with grandparents and others who predeceased him.

A visitation will be held at the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., Bristol, RI, on Saturday, September 5th, from 10 am to 11 am, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11 am. Services will conclude with interment in the historical North Burial Ground in Bristol, RI.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lee name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital @ www.stjude.org  It is also requested as well as a reminder, to call your children, siblings, and loved ones to tell them that you love them.
