Juanita W. (Macrae) Pippy's Obituary
Of Melrose (formerly of Everett) passed away quietly on her 89th birthday, February 20, 2018, after a lengthy illness at The Kaplan House in Danvers surrounded by her family and friends.
Juanita Wilene MacRae was born on February 20, 1929 in Everett to Ida (Hollis) MacRae and Murdock MacRae.
Juanita was preceded in death by her sisters Jean (Morrison) Trask , Laura Semple and brother Roderick MacRae.
Juanita was the loving wife of the late Charles (Bud) Pippy and devoted mother of John (Jack) Pippy and his wife Georgia of Raleigh, NC, Mark and his wife Dawn of Sunapee, NH, Doug and his wife Sharon of Melrose, MA and Glenn and his wife Joy of Peabody, MA. "Nana Pip" leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Juanita is a graduate of Everett High School. She spent many years in Everett raising her family. She attended many sporting events, graduations and social events in Everett with her family and friends. She retired from the State of Massachusetts Department of Child Support in 1994. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling and vacationing in Cocoa Beach Florida with friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, MA 02149 on Saturday, February 24th at 10am. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
