PARRIS, Joseph R.- A lifelong Everett resident, passed away at home on January 11, 2022. He was 85. Beloved husband of the late Frances E. (O'Dwyer) Parris. Loving father of Kevin Parris and his wife Barbara of Revere, Robert Parris and his wife Kathleen of Lynnfield, and Charlene Linkowski and her husband Christopher of Flowery Branch, GA.  Cherished grandfather of Michael, Danielle, and Robert Joseph Parris, Christopher and Nicholas Linkowski. Dear brother of Joan Garrett and her late husband Robert Garrett, the late Edwin Parris and his late wife Assunta, the late Veronica Regal and her late husband Arnold, the late Margaret Garrett and her late husband William, and the late Lorraine Tolan and her late husband Edward. Joseph was a US Army Korean War veteran and a longtime journeyman Iron Worker Local #7 prior to retiring. He was a social member of the East Side Club in Malden and the 52 Club in Chelsea. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Wednesday, January 19 ^th , from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 11 am. Services will conclude with military honors and interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, mask will be required in the funeral home and church.
