BROWN, Joseph E.-Of Reading, formerly of Dorchester and Everett, passed away on January 11th, 2016, at 99 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Gardner) Brown. Loving father of Nancy Farrell and her husband Michael of Cape Cod, and Joseph E. Brown Jr and his wife Gina of Stoughton. Loving brother of Cecelia Racicot of Georgia. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Geddry and her husband Blaise, Alison Farrell and her husband Fritz Koenig, Michael Brown, and Christina Brown. Cherished great grandfather of Morgan and Brynn Geddry, Finn Farrell Koenig, and Hunter M. Brown. Loving companion of Barbara Bartone. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, Thursday, Jan 14th, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with military honors at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Mr. Brown was a WII US Navy veteran. He survived the sinking of the USS St. Augustine and was a member of the DAV and VFW. Prior to his retirement, he was a longtime employee of the US Postal Service and the Registry Department.
