On Thursday, December 14th, 2023, John Daniel Mullowney, Sr., ♉ peacefully passed away at Mass. General Hospital, Boston, Ma. at age 74.

Loving son of the late William and Effie (McDonough) Mullowney.  Son-in- law of the late Raymond, Sr. and Emma (Hosl) LeVasseur.

He was the devoted husband of Christine (LeVasseur) and loving father of John Jr. and Daniel. Father-in- law of Iraska, (Eddie). The brother of Scott and his wife, Priscilla, William and the late Michael.  Loving brother-in- law of Michael and his wife, Doris, Raymond and former wife, Patricia, Andrew and his wife, Petra, Heide and fiancé Edwin, James, Robert Jr. and fiancé Lisa.

Loving Grandfather of Brooklynn, Lyric, and Maeve.  Uncle of Robert III, Christopher and Kimberly (Shields).  Nicole, Anthony, Danielle, the late Sherri Lee, William, Stacey, Raymond Jr., Lisa and Denise (LeVasseur).  Joseph and Max (Mullowney) and the many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and great cousins.

John had a longtime career at Harvard University, Engineering & Fire Dept. retiring after 41 years.  He had an avid passion for cars and music.  He adored his long walks and conversations with his sons at Revere and Swampscott beaches.  Keeping in touch with co-workers and friends at Harvard Univ. He loved his two cats, Jake and Jack and the many late ones.  And fully enjoyed the many occasions had with family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22nd, 2023, from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon at the J.F. Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, MA.
