Obituary

passed away suddenly on February 27th 2017 at his home in Orlando, Florida. He was 56 years old.

John was born on March 13th 1960 in Everett, Massachusetts. Beloved son of the late James and Ruth Kelly. Dear brother of James Michael Kelly, Joseph Matthew Kelly and Jeffrey Martin Kelly.

John graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 1979. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. He received certificate degrees in business and accounting from college.

John did many funny things. One that stood out was the way he pitched a softball, bowled a bowling ball and threw a dart. They were all the same motion. John's favorite hobbies were sports and darts. He played baseball and soccer through high school. He coached baseball in Everett for 20 years, played softball in the Everett men's softball league for 25 years and played competitive darts in leagues and tournaments throughout New England. He also enjoyed attending and watching all New England sports teams games. The major thing people always loved about John was his smile. It was infectious and lit up a room.

John is survived by his three kids; Richie Bates, Christie Kelly and Andrea Kelly.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett on Saturday, March 25th from 1-3pm.
