John N. Boliver-A longtime Everett resident, passed away on March 15 th , 2021, at 95 years. He was the beloved son of the late Stanley and May (Harmon) Boliver. Loving brother of Frank Boliver and his partner Carol Byrne, Judith Rizzo and her late husband Buddy, the late Stanley and his wife Agatha, the late Evelyn Boliver, and the late Edith Giardini.
He is also survived many cherished nieces and nephews, John and Sandra Boliver and their children: Brett and Cara Boliver, Lindsay and Justin Caird/Boliver. Michael and Antonia Rizzo, Michele Alex Rago, Christine and Paul Strahan, Laura and Ken Labadini, Kelly and Stephen Rizzo, David Boliver, Stanley Boliver, Frank and the late Lea Boliver.
John was born in Nova Scotia and raised in Everett. After graduating from Everett High School, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant during WWII in the Pacific including the battles of the Marianas and Marshall Islands. He retired from Esso Oil Company after many years of service in oil refinery. In his spare time, he enjoyed most Saturdays at Suffolk Downs in Revere. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the J.F. Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Friday, March 19 th , from 4-8 pm, followed by a funeral at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel 302 Elm St., Everett, on Saturday, March 20 th , at 10 am. Services will conclude with burial and military honors in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund @ jimmyfund.org or mail to: P.O.
