SHEPARD, Joan M. (Mahoney)-A longtime Everett resident, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 12, 2015, at 81 years. Beloved wife of the late George E. Shepard. Loving mother of Jane Ann Shepard-O'Connor and her husband Mark J. O'Connor of Amesbury. Cherished grandmother of Sarah Ann O'Connor of Amesbury. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral from the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Friday, Jan 16th, at 8 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, at 9 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett. Joan was a member of the Third Order of Carmel. She was also an extraordinary minister and a longtime CCD instructor at St. Therese Church. In Joan's memory, donations may be made to MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844
