James Francis Small, 56, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Jimmy was born on December 7, 1957, the son of the late Gerald P. and Rita E. (Keeley) Kennedy. He proudly graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute in 1978 and worked for many years as a devoted paper boy the Lynn Item and later as a retail clerk by day at the Lynn Stop & Shop and by night, as an Usher at the Revere Showcase Cinemas. Jim was a very kind and gentle soul who loved to make people laugh by starting every conversation with a joke or two. He is preceded in death by his brother Gerald P. Small, Jr. and sister Mary Margaret "Peggy" Kennedy.

Jim leaves his humble memory to his beloved sister Debbie and her devoted husband John Perates and their daughters Eleni Alexandrou, Deena and Johanna Perates and beloved sister Tracy and her loving husband James "Jay" Breeden, and their children, Emily, Matty and Katie.

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway (Route 99), Everett, this Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 3:00 to 6:30 PM, followed by a Christian Memorial Service in the funeral home at 6:30 PM.
