James C. Powers- A longtime Malden resident, passed away at Melrose Wakefield Hospital on April 24 ^th , 2022, at 84 years. Born in Malden, he was the son of the late James and Susie Powers. Beloved husband for 60 years to Janet R. (DiPietro) Powers of Malden. Loving father of Steven Powers and his wife Ellen of Danville, NH, and Kristen Powers of Wakefield. Cherished grandfather of Kelly and Steven Powers. James served 6 years in the National Guard and was employed for over 30 years at Eastern Airline prior to his retirement. He loved baseball and was an avid Red Sox fan. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Wed, April 27 ^th , from 3-7 pm. A funeral will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, April 28 ^th , at 11 am. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
