It is with profound sadness that the family of Gina Marie Findlay announce her passing.

Gina of Braintree, formerly of Somerville, passed away with her family by her side on July 26, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer at just 41 years old.

A devoted mother to Marissa, Michael, and Jordan of Braintree. Gina's children were the light of her life.

Gina was the loving daughter of Loretta Cartolano (Findlay) of Peabody and the late James W. Findlay. Granddaughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Cartolano of Somerville and Reginald and Mary Findlay of Charlestown.

She was the cherished sister of James Findlay of Peabody; Shelly and her husband Steve Ferreira of Malden.

Gina lived for her children and her family. She is survived by many aunts and uncles: Rosario and Maria Cartolano of Jacksonville Florida, Rosemary and Joseph Ruggeri of Lynn,  Dennis and Christine Traill of Everett, and Anthony Cartolano of Peabody.

Loving cousin to Joseph Traill,  Angela Young,  Bryan Traill,  Diana Salerno,  Joseph P. Cartolano, Caroline Tucker,  Angela Marciano, and Frank Ruggeri. She always received words of encouragement from Gina Marie Collins and Joanne DiStefano.

Adoring aunt to Vivienne Holly (Findlay); Christopher and Gianna Ferreira.

Beloved friends Michelle (Conley) Bache, Kerri (Conley) Cunningham, and Kevin Conley.

Gina will be sadly missed by her boyfriend Steven Mickey and many other friends and family who all loved

and supported her.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett on Tuesday Aug 1st from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12 pm. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
