HINDY, George A.-Of Everett, passed away at the Mass General Hospital on January 21, 2012. He went out fighting, but the powers that be won out. He was 82. Beloved husband of the late Anna C. (Cataldo) Hindy. Loving father of Jeffrey J. Hindy of Everett and Carl G. Hindy and his wife Donna Roe of Merrimack, NH. Loving companion of Sally Clarke of Everett. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Jaqueline, Gregory, and George. Dear brother of Barbara Ciarlone and Amelia Chiotasso both of Weymouth. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral from the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Thursday, Jan 26th, at 10 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. George was a US Army veteran, a member of the American Legion, and an avid boxer during his service years. He retired after many years as a property manager for Prudential Center, and later RM Bradley & Company, and Boston Properties. In His memory, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
