MACKAY, Frederick T.-Of Everett, passed away on September 19, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 77. Beloved husband of Lorraine (Middleton) MacKay. Devoted father of Frederick and his wife Jean of Stoneham, Kevin and his wife Maureen of Princeton, NJ, and David and his wife Catherine of Exeter, NH. Adored grandfather of Paige, Kayla, Kyle, Shannon, Conor, Kaitlin, Tara, Megan, and Ryan. Loving brother of Charlotte Byrne and her late husband Robert, Robert and his wife Phyllis, Dorothy and her husband Dave Singleton, John and his wife Ann, and Joseph and his wife Elaine. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Fred was retired from Exxon Corporation after 32 years of service. He was a former member of Everett Board of Appeals, Fire Commissioner, Chairman of the Board of Public Works in Everett, member of St. Therese St. Vincent de Paul Society, and a US Army veteran. He was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral from the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Friday, Sept 23rd. at 8 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of The Assumption Church, 660 Washington Ave., Revere, at 9 am. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In Fred's memory donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Research, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.
