Francis John Masel passed away peacefully on April 17 th , 2023, at the age of 88 in the presence of friends who were praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Born on April 26 th , 1934 in Everett, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Felix and Kazimiera (Katherine) Masel. Loving brother of Anne Masel and Agnes Haverty both of Chelsea MA, Chester Masel of Everett, MA, and the late John Masel and Blanche Frautten. Frank is survived by his daughter Illeana Napoli and husband Mark of Reading, MA, his son Alex Masel and wife Dianne of Stoneham, MA, and grandchildren Austin Masel and Joseph Napoli. Frank also had many dear friends over the course of his long life. Frank loved and lived his Catholic faith and put it at the forefront of his time here on earth. He was a daily communicant and loved to talk with and about the Lord. He also had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. Frank was active in the church, serving Mass, praying the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy each day after Mass, teaching CCD for several years, praying with pro-life ministries and meeting the gang for coffee after Mass. Walking, being "in the country", golfing with his brother Chester, and spending time with his sisters were also very dear to his heart. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, MA on Friday, April 21 st , at 10 am. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, MA. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God , rest in peace . Amen.
