Francis (Frank) J. Anderson

July 3, 1941 – May 26, 2024

Francis (Frank) J. Anderson of Ipswich Massachusetts and formerly a longtime resident of Everett and South Boston, passed away on May 26, at the age of 82. Husband of the late Leah (Bishop) Anderson with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Loving father of Keith Anderson of Ipswich MA, and of the late Scott Anderson of Hudson NH and the late Laura (Anderson) Wingard of Curwensville PA. Immensely proud grandfather of Elsa and Corinne Anderson of Ipswich MA. Father-in-law of Diana (DeCampo) Anderson of Hudson NH, former father-in-law to Jennifer Allport-Anderson of Ipswich MA and Brian Wingard of Curwensville PA. Son of the late Francis and Mary (Cahill) Anderson of South Boston and brother to the late Rosemary (Anderson) Severin. He was also a proud nephew, cousin, and uncle.

Frank was an avid sports fan particularly of his Red Sox and Bruins. He held many jobs over the years including as cleaning supervisor at 1 Beacon St Boston, window washer at multiple Boston office buildings, and as security guard in downtown Boston. He often held multiple jobs at once, however there were no jobs that he was prouder of than father, grandfather, and husband.

Visiting hours for those who knew Frank will be held on Tuesday June 4th, 2024 from 6-8pm at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett MA.
