Obituary

Frances L. Sullivan, 92, beloved daughter to the late Frances and John Dalton, wife to the late Gerald (Jerry) J. Sullivan, sisters to Catherine Rosa, Carol Lemire and her late brother Donald Dalton, passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2022.

She was born as Frances L. Dalton on March 30th, 1929 in Chelsea, Massachusetts, where she grew up and attended school.

After High School she began working at the Beacon Wiper factory where she met Jerry. They were married on June 30th, 1963 and shared 56 years as husband and wife until his passing on March 17th, 2019.

In the 1970s she attended Bunker Hill Community College where she received her food-handling certification as Geriatric Cook and then proceeded to work in the Parkway Manor nursing home for 20+ years until retirement.

Frances, or lovingly referred to by her nieces and nephews as "Auntie", was a constant presence in all of their lives and loved them like her own.

Spontaneous road trips and traveling in general around the US brought her immense joy, particularly Hawaii had a special place in her heart. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, music, and spending time with her family and friends. Her all-time favorite song was "Wind beneath my Wings" by Bette Midler.

Frances is survived by her sisters Catherine and Carol, her niece Lisa Todd and family, nephew Miguel Rosa, nephew Anthony Rosa and family, and niece Monica DeBalsi and family, in addition to countless great-nieces, great-nephews, as well as great-great nieces and great-great nephews, the late Grace and Dennis Schrum, niece Dawna Flores and family, nephew Dennis Schrum Jr. and family, Kathy Allen and family, and the extended Sullivan family.

Frances was a devout Catholic throughout her life. The unconditional love she had for her family, and the lives she touched made her an integral part to all that knew her. Her reliability, generosity and kindness will never be forgotten.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the heartfelt thoughts, kind words, and prayers in these difficult times.

"Don't cry for me, I'm not gone. My soul is at rest, my heart lives on. Light a candle for me to see and hold on to my memory, but save your tears for I am still here, by your side through the years."
