Edith E. Stead-Of Everett, passed away on September 13, 2024, at 82 years old. Born in Boston and a longtime Cambridge resident, she was the beloved daughter of the late Oscar and Marguerite Stead. Loving sister of Florence Stead of Everett and Charles Stead of Ontario, Canada. Dear aunt of Charles and Leanne Stead of Canada. Dear cousin of Ronald Gordon and Douglas Earle of Canada, Lawrence Stead of Quincy and Lorraine Stead-Langston of Randolph. Prior to her retirement, Edith worked as a secretary for Tufts University for many years. She enjoyed reading books, especially the Bible, and walks with her sister to the ice cream shop. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a graveside service in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, 185 Lake St., Peabody, on Wednesday, September 18th, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
