Dennis "Duffy" M. Smith -Passed away at Mass General Hospital surrounded by his loving daughters on April 4 ^th , 2022, at 72 years. He was the beloved father of Dorene and Denise Smith of Everett. Stepfather of Bambi Starr of NY and Guy Landry of Revere. Former husband of Patricia Smith of Everett and former longtime companion of Deborah Bergin of Malden. Cherished grandfather of Jessica Sullivan, Christina Sullivan, Madison Smith, and Julian Figucia-Smith. Loving brother of Paul Smith of Everett, and the late Connie Gallant and John "Beaver" Smith. Loving son of the late John "Irish" Smith and Mary Veronica Smith. He is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews. Dennis was employed at Monsanto Chemical for over 30 years and retired as a foreman. He coached youth hockey and baseball for many years and was an avid and loyal Boston sports fan. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Saturday, April 9 ^th , from 2-6 pm, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 6 pm.
