Obituary

Dan Lanigan of Everett passed away on May 11, 2013, at the age of 58 at the Benjamin Healthcare Center in Boston. He was born September 16, 1954, in the city of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Ed and Connie. Dan is survived by his brother, Tim Lanigan of Londonderry, NH, and his twin sisters Mary Ellen Lanigan of Malden and Betty Anne Lanigan, residing in Maine. His family emigrated from Canada during the Summer of 1964. Dan graduated from Northeast Regional Vocational School High School in Wakefield, MA, and later served in the United States Marine Corps.
In the prime of his life, Dan acquired a black belt in Shotokan Karate. He loved fishing and camping. Fishing in later years was never as successful as the salmon and brook trout fishing that he, his Dad and brother had done in Canada. Dan was a car mechanic, steel worker (Market Forge Co., Everett), and cab driver. He loved the company of good friends, none better than his best friend, Steve Legere, formerly of Everett.
Surviving nieces and nephews are Dan, Bonnie and Frank Lanigan; Colleen Burnham and her children Olivia and Joshua.
