Beverly Haneffant, aged 92, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, in Methuen, MA after a short illness. Born on January 14, 1932, in Everett, MA, Beverly was the cherished daughter of the late parents Florence and Harold Whelan and grew up attending Cheverus Schools in Malden, MA which led her to a rewarding career as a Nursing Assistant at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, MA. She was married May 6th, 1951 to her devoted husband, the late William S. Haneffant and they had a large and adoring family.

Beverly is survived by her loving family including her daughters Beverly Haneffant-Hijazi of Revere, MA, Patricia (Nicholas) Bocchino, Linda (David) Horsman Jr. of Methuen, MA, Ruth (Robert) Glazier of Sandown, NH; her son William S. (and the late Theresa) Haneffant II of Methuen, MA; her sister, Sister Barbara Whelan; sister-in-law Lori Whelan; brother-in-law Vincent Matteucci; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S.  Haneffant, her son Richard S. Haneffant, her sister Florence Matteucci, and her brother Harold Whelan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Beverly's memory to Bridge Over Troubled Waters Inc. of Boston, MA, and St. Jude's Hospital of Memphis, TN.

The Family would like to thank the Mary Immaculate Nursing Restorative Center and the kind staff who took very good care of Beverly until her death.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the JF Ward Funeral Home 772 Broadway, Everett on Thursday, Aug 15th from 4 to 8 pm, followed by a funeral from the funeral home on Friday Aug 16th at 9 am with a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church 487 Broadway, Everett at 10 am. Services will conclude with internment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
