Obituary

Beatrice A. (Gabriel) Flammia 87, retired domestic engineer of Wakefield formerly of Malden, in Salem Ma. October 3 2020. Beloved wife of the late Robert J Flammia. Daughter of the late Mary Alice (Hazelton) and Fred (Rosco) Gabriel. She was the loving sister of the late Grace E Strong and Fredrick J Gabriel.

Born and raised in Everett Ma, Bea attended the Immaculate Conception School in Everett and Chevrus High School in Malden.

She met the love of her life Bob Flammia of Malden. They married on Sept 25, 1955 and made their home in Malden where they raised their family. They were married for 31 years until his death in 1986.

Beatrice was the loving mother of Beatrice and her husband David Burton, Angela and her husband John Ody of Amesbury, Robert Flammia of Pepperell, Annemarie Rosa and her husband Tom of Topsfield, Michelle Moriarty and her husband Paul of Tewksbury and Christopher Flammia of New York City.

She was the loving grandmother of Jonathan, Amanda and Nicole, Samantha, Paul and Brittney, Susan, Mia and Emily. Most recently she became the great grandmother of Cora Lee Moriarty.

She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and her sister in-law Angelina Flammia, who will feel her loss tremendously.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation held in the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett on Thursday, October 8 th from 9-10:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 489 Broadway, Everett at 11am. Internment will be in Forestdale Cemetery in Malden.

In accordance with the CDC, MA Dept. of Public Health, Archdiocese of Boston guidelines and local restrictions, masks must be worn at all times inside the funeral home and inside the church. Upon entering the church your temperature will be taken and you will need to fill out a form for contact tracing. We ask that guests who are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms including fever, cough and shortness of breath or have been in contact with or have recently traveled to any of the affected countries refrain from visiting the funeral home at this time.
