Obituary

Anna Zollo passed away on Tuesday, April 14th at Massachusetts General Hospital after a short battle with Covid 19. Born in the North End of Boston in 1936, Anna was the second of five children born to Anthony and Lucy Bono. She grew up in Everett and graduated from EHS in 1954. After graduation, she worked at LFE Corporation, where she met her beloved husband, Donald Zollo. Anna and her husband raised their three children in Medford and were married for 21 years until her husband passed away in 1982.

Following the death of her husband, Anna worked at Delta Dental for many years until she retired at the age of 75.  In her retirement, she enjoyed living at the Everett Villa Co-Op senior living apartments, where she enjoyed volunteering in the office and participating in many social activities with her fellow residents.  Anna learned to embrace modern technology, following her family and friends on Facebook, surfing the internet and listening to Josh Groban with her Alexa.

Anna is survived by her children Donna DiNapoli and her husband Thomas of Peabody, Donald Zollo and his wife Helene of Malden and Joanne Zollo of Malden.  She was the loving nana to Matthew and Joshua DiNapoli and her three grand "fur-babies", especially her favorite, Toby. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Bono and her sister in-law Sheila of Malden, her sister Marie Marchese of Everett and her sister in-law Phyllis Bono of Yarmouth. As well as several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald Zollo, her parents, Anthony and Lucy Bono and her brothers Vincent Bono and Anthony Bono.

Services are private at this time, but a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Massachusetts Covid 19 Relief Fund,  c/o Foundation for Business Equity 265 Franklin St., Box 304, Boston, MA 02110 or macovid19relieffund.org.
